Zion Lodge Case Study

They cared about the digital experience and wantedonline booking to feel as stunning as the property and the park itself. From the start, the team's focus was on guests, not metrics. The property was already performing extremely well, and the team was initially skeptical of olive's claims that it could improve performance.
Zion Lodge's rooms aren'tinterchangeable. Each room type and unit has its own character, and many guests arrive knowing exactly which one they want. POWDR wanted each to get its own spotlight.
Working with olive, the team gave every room type a dedicated page with its own availability calendar. Guests could now search for a specific room, rather than searching blindly across dates and hopingfor availability, a frustrating limitation of their previous booking system
Zion Lodge's new booking experience launched on July 31. From January through July, Zion Lodge's direct bookings had been flat year over year.
In August, the first full month after launch, direct booking revenue grew 32%. Even more notable: nearly all of August's growth in direct bookings was new business, and 79% of that new revenue came through Zion Lodge's own website.
The results surpassed even the team's expectations: when the booking experience lives up to the place, guests respond.
